Fazio's first, the Links Course was the original designed by the master, Tom Fazio and it’s still one of the world’s best golf courses. Rolling fairways. Rustling palms. A beautiful location near Charleston in Isle of Palms. This golf course is challenging enough for golfers of every level. A true Charleston icon. Majestically located on Upper King Street in the heart Charleston's Design District, The William Aiken House sits on a lush acre of manicured gardens, courtyards and piazzas where century-old oaks and magnolia trees frame your view. With its seamless blend of 18th century style and 21st century sophistication, the House boasts a museum-caliber arts and antique collection, a mix of intimate and expansive rooms, private grounds, pergola and reflection pool making it a graceful and unforgettable venue for the conference’s Grand Event.

William Aiken, the first president of the South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company (SCRC), built the Aiken House in 1810. Aiken’s son, Governor William Aiken Jr., sold the house in 1863 to the South Carolina Railroad Company. In the mid- 1920’s, many doubted that the old house was worth preserving, or that anyone would be able to finance it. The SCRC removed many interior rooms and significant pieces in the house to store in safer locations throughout the turmoil of the 20th century. During the latter half of the twentieth century, the historic value of the Aiken house came to be more widely recognized. In 1964, the house was designated a National Historic Landmark. In the 1990’s, it was fully restored to its pristine 1811 condition.
