- EnergyAxis Management System (EA_MS) – Our open-system enterprise application consists of multiple components which enable network management, integration, control and operation. EA_MS manages and monitors the utility’s Smart Grid communications and network elements and devices used for data acquisition, helping you to turn data into actionable intelligence.
- Gatekeepers – EnergyAxis gatekeepers include both LAN and WAN capabilities. Our ruggedized enclosed gatekeepers can function as meters or be stand-alone devices. EnergyAxis Gatekeepers are more cost-effective and install more easily.
- WAN connected elements – EnergyAxis supports high functionality C&I meters through direct WAN connections today. EnergyAxis can enable direct connect for grid sensors and controllers as well as residential meters as technology evolves and economics make this a more attractive system option.
- The industry’s widest range of measurement, sensing and control elements – EnergyAxis enables your utility to use solid-state single and polyphase residential, commercial and industrial electronic meters from Elster or other manufacturers. EnergyAxis-enabled grid sensors and controllers are available and in pilot today to support distribution automation and grid reliability initiatives. Plus, our radio frequency (RF) communications modules extend the benefits of EnergyAxis to both water and gas meters. Dedicated repeaters allow deployment flexibility and network build-out in even the most challenging areas.
- In-home solutions promote efficient demand response and energy efficiency initiatives – The integration of powerful demand response systems including load control devices, programmable thermostats and in-home displays allow your utility to maximize control of its energy resources and empower consumers to conserve energy and save money.
- Our communications system: The cost-effective data transmission solution – EnergyAxis works with the widest range of WAN (wide area network) communications technologies, enabling you to select the communications options that are most reliable and cost effective for your service territory.
- A robust, self-managing LAN – The LAN (local area network) transmits data from the EnergyAxis enabled element via the gatekeepers to your utility, enabling you to quickly transmit information and commands directly to one meter or to every measurement, sensing and control element of the EnergyAxis System.
