Elster has already delivered the capability to integrate with a number of technologies and third-party manufacturers. Our demand response solutions offer the market a broad range of potential third party in-home solutions including in home displays, smart thermostats, and load control devices.
Each residential electric meter in the EnergyAxis LAN (Read more at EnergyAxis LAN) can be used to communicate with in-home displays using its integrated EA_HAN native 900 MHz protocol. Additionally, these meters can be fitted with a HAN network interface card (NIC), incorporating ZigBee protocol, to further expand the communication options and support additional demand response and load management activities. We will continue to leverage our standards-based design and open system to expand future functionality and communications support.
